00:00:03: All right everybody welcome back to a brand new episode of artsy fartsy immigrants.

00:00:36: Oh, you know It's the story as old as time when it comes to this podcast for my small yet dedicated audience where I always start things off by saying, man, it's been so long since I've done one of these.

00:00:50: Oh, let's take a look at how long it's been.

00:00:53: And it's been over a month.

00:00:55: So I'm really sorry about that.

00:00:57: But there's been a lot of stuff going on and there's a lot of stuff to come in the next month.

00:01:03: And then hopefully what I'm imagining is that by the middle ish or towards the end of October, there will be an opportunity where I can finally feel like a normal person again and make regular episodes for funsies, for, as they say, shits and giggles.

00:01:23: So let's get into it right off the bat, though.

00:01:27: Let's talk about the big news, right?

00:01:29: Let's get into the fact of the matter.

00:01:32: Let's get into the stats.

00:01:33: Let's get into the detectives interrogation file, which is, you know, to explain.

00:01:41: the point is I'm just rambling here.

00:01:42: The point is that my brand new, twenty twenty five standup comedy tour kicks off this Sunday, October twelfth.

00:01:56: So let's give the listeners a reminder.

00:02:00: of where I will be going and what dates these tickets are going to be listed for because I did a TikTok live yesterday and you know what I've realized is that maybe it's an algorithmic issue but there are, you know, sometimes I go live on different platforms to talk to people in the moment and there are people who enjoy what I do and they're very kind and they're very supportive.

00:02:29: but they don't know that I'm even gonna be on tour or they don't know where I'm going.

00:02:34: and for me that's crazy that even after all this time with all these followers there are just you know just because there's so much content all the time and I especially in the last few months have not made regular you know content every single day.

00:02:52: perhaps the algorithm has muted my channel to them, which is a bit unfortunate, but there is good news at the end of all of this.

00:03:01: One is that I'm thankful for when I do these lives.

00:03:04: There are people who say, oh, where are you going?

00:03:06: Are you going to go to this city?

00:03:07: What dates are going to be your, you know, what dates are you going to be on tour?

00:03:14: And then when I informed them, you know, I believe them when they come back and they say, oh, that's great.

00:03:20: I had no idea.

00:03:21: I just bought tickets.

00:03:22: You know, that's really, that's really, really, really cool for me.

00:03:26: So let me just get this out of the way.

00:03:29: So I, my brand new, twenty twenty five stand up comedy tour, which is an hour of brand new material.

00:03:37: It's the Prince of Germany tour twenty twenty five.

00:03:41: I am starting this Sunday in Frankfurt on the twelfth.

00:03:49: Let me just take off this translation here.

00:03:51: I'm gonna be in Frankfurt on the twelfth at the Jahrhundert Hall.

00:03:59: The Jahrhundert Hall.

00:04:03: On the twelfth and then next.

00:04:07: I was thinking of something just now.

00:04:11: What was I gonna say about Frankfurt?

00:04:13: Oh!

00:04:14: I did want to forget.

00:04:15: Frankfurt has a low ticket warning.

00:04:19: So if anyone listening, if any of the three or four of you have a friend in or around Frankfurt, please let them know.

00:04:30: It is a low ticket warning.

00:04:32: So it's a nice big venue.

00:04:35: Let me just take a look here with the most recent sales say so I can know.

00:04:40: more or less, how many tickets are left in this venue.

00:04:43: So it's a venue that holds four hundred and twenty-two and it is ninety-five percent full.

00:04:53: So yeah, if you have a friend in or around Frankfurt, please tell them to get their tickets today.

00:05:02: Then next on the thirteenth is Cologne.

00:05:05: The venue is called Gloria.

00:05:10: I mean, I guess it's just like the name, right?

00:05:12: Gloria.

00:05:14: Gloria in Cologne still has tickets, but it is far over a fifty percent sold out.

00:05:22: So there are tickets for sure.

00:05:26: but it is looking pretty good.

00:05:28: So please get your tickets now before they are gone.

00:05:31: Then next we have Hamburg.

00:05:35: Hamburg is at the fabric.

00:05:36: We still have tickets for Hamburg.

00:05:39: Something I'm noticing about the north is that Hamburg is the most difficult city to sell tickets in.

00:05:46: It's doing fine.

00:05:47: It's going to be good.

00:05:48: I'm still going to break even or maybe be in the green with Hamburg, but it is the toughest city I've realized.

00:05:54: Same with my tour last year.

00:05:56: It's just.

00:05:56: it's just a bit tough to like get people to go there Surprisingly in the north.

00:06:01: I guess just northern folk don't have a good sense of humor, but we'll see we'll see.

00:06:07: But thank you for those who already have their tickets.

00:06:09: It's a good number and I am happy with it and I cannot wait to perform.

00:06:13: for all of you Berlin is almost sold out.

00:06:17: We So the the Kleist zahl Yoranya in Berlin has a capacity of almost three hundred.

00:06:27: We are over the two fifty mark so it might sell out quite soon and We're pretty close to it.

00:06:36: actually, you know There's a certain amount of tickets that are always set aside for the artist and for the management because there's team members and friends of the team members that you give tickets to.

00:06:46: it's you know standard procedure and their Those tickets.

00:06:52: basically, I had a discussion with my booking agent yesterday and we came to the conclusion that I didn't need as many tickets set aside as they had reserved for me.

00:07:04: I will have an opener.

00:07:06: Let me just open, open.

00:07:08: Let me just announce my openers too while I have the chance here.

00:07:14: Or maybe he's already listed here, let me see.

00:07:17: Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, so it's on the website in the show notes.

00:07:20: my opener for Berlin is a great comic who recently opened up for a comedian that I'm a huge fan of the one and only Rory Scoville.

00:07:31: I'm a big fan of Rory Scoville and really great American, you know southern tone comic clean comic really funny guy and This German comic, I guess, when Rory came through Berlin, he opened up for him.

00:07:50: His name is Ludwig Benekie.

00:07:53: Now, I'm sure that it's like Benike or like Benike.

00:07:59: It's like B-E-N-E-C-K-E.

00:08:04: I have trouble sometimes with the pronunciations with names like this.

00:08:08: It's probably like Ludwig Benekie.

00:08:15: Because the E's always sound the same.

00:08:18: But I always think of the guy from Breaking Bad that Skyler gives all of Walt's money to.

00:08:25: Ludwig Benekie.

00:08:26: And he will be my opener in Berlin.

00:08:30: Very excited about that.

00:08:32: Anyway, yes, the tickets are looking really good, really full for that.

00:08:35: So please, we were almost completely sold out and then because I didn't need that many guest list tickets, We put a few more tickets on the.

00:08:47: you know on the on the what do you call it like the?

00:08:51: oh My god Sorry, my brain has only been about my show recently, so I'm a bit scattered brained.

00:08:59: Um You know into the register whatever.

00:09:01: Oh my god, who cares?

00:09:03: So, yeah Get your tickets now for Berlin.

00:09:06: Vienna is looking quite good as well.

00:09:09: It is not sold out, but it is looking very good.

00:09:12: So if you are in or around Vienna for the twenty first, please get your tickets now.

00:09:20: Innsbruck, I would admit, I think is the toughest one and I originally did not want to go there.

00:09:28: Innsbruck, we are not meeting the sales expectations that I think we all hoped that we would meet.

00:09:36: But you know what's interesting about that is we never planned to go there.

00:09:41: Like going to Innsbruck was never on the original plan.

00:09:46: You know, because when you start off... in smaller venues like smaller tours you stick with major cities because there's the higher chance that in a major city there's a higher opportunity for you know ticket sales because there's.

00:10:00: you know there's more.

00:10:01: there's more people and people who live in smaller towns around those major cities.

00:10:05: you know if they don't have to travel too far maybe they can come too if they want to see you.

00:10:09: so last year was four shows in three cities.

00:10:12: it was Merlin Merlin, it was Merlin the magic man.

00:10:17: It was Berlin, Hamburg and Munich and you know two shows in Munich.

00:10:21: this year We've expanded that quite a bit and we were not going to go to Innsbruck but the venue owner of the Maria Theresia in Innsbruck really requested highly like we really really really really want Jordan to.

00:10:40: Sorry, we really want Jordan to come here.

00:10:43: We think there's an audience here for him.

00:10:45: We really want to make this work and You know some you know as it.

00:10:49: as a touring performer as a comedian, you know music or comedy or whatever.

00:10:54: as a touring performer You know, I look at like the ticket sales in a city like Innsbruck and for sure it's a bummer, you know, it's a bummer.

00:11:03: It's definitely far below what we hoped or expected And, you know, the only positive being that it's like the Austria shows and the Zurich show... where the only shows on the entire tour where people were going to have to stand like they did on the tour last year, which I really did not want to repeat.

00:11:28: Again, like I really didn't want people to have to stand.

00:11:32: So every other show is a seated location.

00:11:35: The reason why we can't get seated locations easily everywhere is because you are renting the location, right?

00:11:42: So that's also why when you think about ticket sales when you look at you know, okay, there's this There's this certain cost plus tax, right?

00:11:52: I'm not getting That full ticket cost.

00:11:56: I think it's like something like thirty five bucks which for sure is a lot and I am so grateful for those who have bought their tickets.

00:12:05: I am getting less than half of that.

00:12:07: So please don't think that I'm like some on my second tour being some like crazy.

00:12:14: You know maniacal greedy monster, you know, I'm.

00:12:17: I'm getting Less than half for sure.

00:12:21: I'm trying to do the math on if it's like a if it's a quarter It's something like that.

00:12:27: I think that I saw the the numbers recently where like the overall Like just plain outright money that comes in from this tour as it is.

00:12:38: Um, the amount that I get is something like about a fourth, which is crazy to think about.

00:12:45: But, you know, that is just the business.

00:12:47: That is just how every concert you've ever seen, comedy or music or magic or otherwise, you are renting the venue.

00:12:56: The money.

00:12:58: that pays the labor costs of the bartenders and the waiters and the janitors and Everyone who preps.

00:13:05: you sets up everything sets up the chairs, you know organizes the accounting the if there's a restaurant there.

00:13:10: all of that, you know comes from the ticket sales.

00:13:13: so and then there's the agency fees on top of that.

00:13:16: so Innsbruck is definitely a place where I wish we had more sales.

00:13:23: It's the only place on the tour where I've discussed with my booking agent like, okay, well, we're probably not gonna go back there.

00:13:33: We might go back there in a few years if things change, but we're not gonna, you know, we're not, if we had a guarantee in a sense that like we went there and we had a better feeling of what the audience was like there, we might go back.

00:13:47: But this is the one place on the tour that is really not worth me buying.

00:13:54: My own train tickets to every single city and my own hotels for every single city.

00:13:59: So another thing people don't really recognize is like not only do you on these tours you rent like your agency rents the venue.

00:14:07: So, you know, like I said before you're paying the money for the cost of the labor The lights the bartender, you know, you're renting the for a certain amount the space right to have everything ready for the performance and then me the artist out of pocket.

00:14:27: from my own account I'm paying for every single train ride to Frankfurt from Frankfurt to Cologne from Cologne to Hamburg from Hamburg to Berlin from Berlin back to Munich to come home then Munich to Vienna then Vienna to Innsbruck then Innsbruck back home to Munich and then Munich out to Zurich and then Zurich back to Munich.

00:14:50: I'm I paid for all those.

00:14:51: I already booked all my trains, all my hotels, and all of that, you know, costs a lot of money.

00:14:57: You know, I got the cheapest trains and the cheapest hotels, but still at the end of the day, it's what?

00:15:01: You know, eight cities?

00:15:04: So Innsbruck was definitely a bit of a bummer, but you know, you live, you learn, and at the end of the day, I know that this show is good.

00:15:11: I really, I believe in this show, and I don't often say that.

00:15:16: I don't have an ego about it because it's always a learning process.

00:15:20: um I know that there will be shows where I thought things would be funny and they didn't land and some things I thought wouldn't be funny that would land.

00:15:31: that I have to kind of digest and make notes about and you know work on it later because that's that's how it is performing is like a constant shifting glacier you know.

00:15:42: but then after that I come back to Munich on the twenty-fifth and with Munich I'm very happy to say that I'm doing, so I'm doing an early show and a late show on the same day, which some friends have said like, oh my God, doesn't that sound exhausting?

00:16:00: But I'm kind of excited about it, you know?

00:16:03: Because the last tour, even though it was significantly smaller, it was less than half as many cities, doing like a show in the evening and then waking up and knowing that you have another show in the evening in the same place, I felt, in my head at least, a bit more exhausted thinking about that because you have to go, it's almost like a time loop, like a Groundhog's Day thing.

00:16:29: You have to go back and do the same thing.

00:16:31: Again, in this case at least, it's a really nice venue.

00:16:35: It's a seated theater.

00:16:38: Each... performance holds uh six hundred i think six hundred twenty six hundred thirty people.

00:16:44: um the early shows at five thirty.

00:16:47: you know i wanted to have a show that would work for you know maybe some parents who don't have a babysitter or you know have a sibling or someone that can watch the kids for a bit and can come see it.

00:16:59: and then i wanted a late show that could be a bit more loose and relaxed.

00:17:04: um and The the early show is sold out.

00:17:10: so that's great.

00:17:11: It's like six hundred something that's sold out and The late show is almost sold out.

00:17:18: It's quite close.

00:17:20: So for those who you know live again in or around Munich who have not gotten their tickets for the twenty-fifth the early show is completely sold out.

00:17:32: A lot of friends are going to go, friends and family and everything, they're going to go to the early show.

00:17:38: And the late show is very, very close to being sold out.

00:17:41: So I'm very thankful for that, that there's enough people in Munich that are willing to spend that money.

00:17:46: Again, I apologize that it's thirty-five or whatever, thirty-seven.

00:17:50: With tax, it's crazy to me.

00:17:53: And that could have had an impact on ticket sales in certain cities.

00:17:58: And I just want to emphasize, one, that I am just so extraordinarily grateful that I have enough people in my circle, like in my fan base that would pay that money because I understand that that is a lot to ask for.

00:18:13: Being a musician for the majority of my life, I think, you know, whenever I would hold a show in New Orleans or smaller venues in Munich, I think I never asked more than like, ten or fifteen.

00:18:26: So I get that that's a lot the problem being that like now that I'm more familiar with the business I I have to emphasize that I am getting like a fourth of that.

00:18:38: So I'm grateful for the opportunity to be in a bigger place where there is a Where people can sit down, you know, that's that.

00:18:49: that's also the issue is like In in Germany like the comedy scene is not enormous.

00:18:55: So if you want to get places where people can sit down and relax and you know put their feet up or whatever like that just costs more.

00:19:02: That's why last year's tour even though it was small was all rock venues Because I was asking people to stand for an hour and ten minutes or whatever.

00:19:14: And then I go to Zurich and Zurich's also surprisingly Like doing surprisingly better than I thought it would.

00:19:23: Let me drink some water here.

00:19:24: I can hear my Sminkie Smacky mouth here.

00:19:29: Sorry.

00:19:31: Like Zurich's doing better than I thought it would.

00:19:34: Innsbruck was the big surprise because they asked us to book it.

00:19:38: So that was a bit of a bummer that that's the lowest place to go to.

00:19:43: But Zurich is a big surprise.

00:19:47: That's doing really well.

00:19:48: I'm very happy with that.

00:19:51: I'm glad that it's doing so well because Zurich is the most expensive place on the planet, probably.

00:19:59: It's so expensive.

00:20:01: And Switzerland is so crazy.

00:20:03: And I'm happy to, you know, I think Zurich is going to be maybe the most fun because in Munich, I'm doing two shows in the same day and I'm filming them both for my next like YouTube special.

00:20:20: So much like the one that I have on my YouTube.

00:20:23: now from the last tour, I'm doing it in Munich at this seated location.

00:20:29: And it should be, it should look really nice.

00:20:31: It should, it should be really cool.

00:20:33: Um, and so Zurich will be the last show of the entire tour and it's going to be after the filmed performance.

00:20:39: So for me, it should be like crazy relaxed.

00:20:41: It should be really, really fun.

00:20:43: Um, in general, when I look at the numbers here, Frankfurt is very full.

00:20:50: Berlin is very full Munich is very full and then after that you're looking at like Zurich is quite good and then let me see so Zurich and then Cologne after that and then and then Vienna and then Hamburg and then yeah and then and then yeah and then Innsbruck.

00:21:17: Innsbruck is the bottom for sure but you know what I think, I think we're gonna come out on the plus for this.

00:21:28: I wanted to start this to just talk about like, as a reminder that there are shows coming up in three days.

00:21:36: My God.

00:21:38: If you listen to this when it comes out on the ninth, yeah, there's three days, three days.

00:21:45: Wow.

00:21:46: I just looked at the clock and it said, immediately in my brain I thought oh my god it's eleven at night.

00:21:53: that's how.

00:21:54: that's how like scattered I feel right now.

00:21:58: I think that's a big thing to keep in mind too.

00:22:00: for those who may be pursuing performing arts.

00:22:07: I uh man what a ruler coaster the last couple of months have been and I'm so grateful for them.

00:22:13: but I'm really I'm seeing the challenge and I'm digesting the emotional toll that it takes, the spiritual toll that it takes.

00:22:23: Because I know, I know that when I get on the road on Sunday and I start, you know, I'm on the train with my suitcase or whatever and I'm on the way to a show, I know that that's gonna be fun.

00:22:41: I love touring.

00:22:42: I know that that's gonna be fun.

00:22:44: I know that.

00:22:46: But I have to admit the last couple of months I think I've been so jam-packed with things that I wasn't necessarily Recognizing in the moment what kind of toll it takes on the on the on the on the on the heart or on the soul, you know.

00:23:07: because On top of this on top of preparing for this show and trying to make it as funny and engaging and personal as I could possibly make it.

00:23:19: Because you have to understand, doing a podcast could not be more different from a completely scripted hour-long stand-up show.

00:23:32: So it's like doing, you know, like a Hamlet monologue, but funny, hopefully.

00:23:37: And then that is also completely different from doing the book, which, yes, the book came out September twenty-fifth.

00:23:45: I've had some friends in different countries in the States or in Australia or whatever.

00:23:52: Some nice fans in the UK who have been posting about having received the book and I've had a lot of very nice feedback here about that book.

00:24:04: I'm gonna get into that, but just to finish my first thought, there's a lot of emotional toll that goes into doing this.

00:24:14: I think I've realized that This year, I would say between July and the start of October.

00:24:26: Or no, to be more realistic, it's gonna be until the beginning of the tour because once this tour starts, I'm gonna be fine.

00:24:33: But I would say from July until three days from now, there's something, I think I overloaded it because I had my parents visiting.

00:24:46: which was great.

00:24:47: I was very happy to see them.

00:24:50: But I felt bad because, you know, we had to work so much.

00:24:57: It was the most high pressure crunch time.

00:25:00: You know, if they had come in this time window last year or next year, you know, or whatever, it would have been completely different because right now they literally visited as the book had been released.

00:25:13: So the promo work for that is intense.

00:25:20: the pressure to advertise it is at an all-time high.

00:25:25: There's Oktoberfest, which was kind of the main reason that we encouraged them to visit during this time window.

00:25:33: We'd organized a table at Oktoberfest and all of the tracht for my dad.

00:25:44: Asked friends that we liked to come and have a good time and party with us which you know on paper sounds sounds great And I'm really happy we did that.

00:25:54: I had a really really really fun time But it was all the stuff around that of you know.

00:25:59: You want to be a good host you want to make sure that everyone's having a good time.

00:26:03: you want them to feel like Even though It's just cold weather and rain and you're working constantly that you're happy that they visited.

00:26:14: but that's such a tough thing to do.

00:26:15: because you're like, I'm so sorry, I need, you know, the three or four hours this morning to manage what's coming up, you know, and I keep veering off of the microphone, sorry.

00:26:33: But I just, yeah, it was a big, it was a big weight on the soul a bit because, just because of guilt.

00:26:42: Like, I know that my mom Would not like to know that I felt so guilty and she would tell me don't be ridiculous It was so nice.

00:26:49: It was just great to be at your house.

00:26:51: I know I know I know I know but let me get some water here.

00:26:54: There's just um There's.

00:27:01: it was just this you know really Tight combo of like.

00:27:04: I want to be a good host.

00:27:05: I want them to have fun.

00:27:06: I want them to see things.

00:27:07: I want to take them to octoberfest and we did.

00:27:10: we did twice but still in addition to all like every little minute around.

00:27:16: that was sort of like a balancing act of oh you know how much freedom can we You know, like how much time away from them is a reasonable amount for me to do my work where they don't feel that I've invited them to just sit around somewhere else and have done all that traveling for nothing.

00:27:36: You know, so it was.

00:27:37: it was definitely like a stressful feeling and just in pure terms of guilt because it was great to see them and I had a lot of fun with them.

00:27:44: But I felt bad that I couldn't do more because I know how expensive it is to travel and I know um, how exhausting it is for my mom, you know, especially, oh, sorry.

00:27:57: Sorry.

00:27:58: Uh, I just know how, how exhausting it can be, you know, so there was that.

00:28:02: And then, um, finishing the book and the book is for me, like such an accomplishment, but I'm, I'm, I think that maybe this is like such an off kilter podcast because part of me is I'm proud that.

00:28:21: It's finished but I It's another thing for me to worry about in terms of how it will be received how it will sell.

00:28:36: So you have they have like okay.

00:28:38: I'm hosting my parents I want them to have fun But I can't spend that much time with them which makes me feel bad.

00:28:44: and oh the book is out.

00:28:46: So I have to worry that that's that that's gonna sell because I really hope it does because I really really really hope you know people like it and you know I want people to.

00:28:54: you know um I don't know enjoy it and and and I want my friends to to like it and I want it to get some some traction and then oh but of course I can't spend too much time on you know worrying about my my parents or my or the book release.

00:29:08: because right now I have this enormous you know comedy tour the biggest one I've ever done coming up and I really need to focus on memorizing the comedy and making sure it's the best that it can be.

00:29:17: it was all of that during Octoberfest all at once.

00:29:21: it was really You know, I'm so happy my parents came and I'm so happy where we were able to show them, um, Oktoberfest.

00:29:31: So that's definitely something I, my, my preferable window would have been, I wish it would have been just a completely relaxed window of time where I could have taken my parents to Oktoberfest two or three times.

00:29:47: Traveled around with them shown shown them things in Munich and not had to worry about the book release and the tour on top.

00:29:55: and now they've left.

00:29:57: and You know, I'm curious as well What they will say about the book.

00:30:03: my mom, you know had Understandably, you know doesn't like the graphic language or the vulgar humor and I understand that that's my mom That's just not her thing.

00:30:14: I get that I'm curious If my dad will read it.

00:30:20: and the thing is it's a. it's such a goofball silly book that I I don't think there's anything to Harsh in there where he would write me and say you know I The thing is it's such a silly goofy book that I can't imagine that it would like stir the pot at all with him, but I I don't know.

00:30:42: My dad's the only one who I know has the book that I've heard nothing from.

00:30:46: So that's also on my mind a bit because I'm about to go on this tour and I would love to know that there's some support there, if that makes sense.

00:30:57: But I don't know, you know, I'm not going to pressure him.

00:31:00: I'm not going to ride him.

00:31:01: I'm not going to be like, hey, you have to tell me what you think.

00:31:04: You know, my mom's reading it.

00:31:05: She told me what she thinks, you know, she told me what things she thought was funny.

00:31:09: She also told me that she didn't love the, you know, bad language.

00:31:13: I get that.

00:31:13: I understand that.

00:31:14: Of course, of course she wouldn't.

00:31:15: Why would she?

00:31:16: um you know she's a sweetheart.

00:31:18: so but you know i my brother just got the book.

00:31:22: i'm curious what he will say about it.

00:31:25: you know we'll see we'll see but it's just so much going on.

00:31:29: because there's there's the pressure of.

00:31:31: i want my parents to have a good time.

00:31:34: then there's the oh my god there's the pressure of.

00:31:37: i really hope that my friends and family You know like this book and I hope that you know that it sells well.

00:31:43: and then okay next Oh, I have this tour coming up.

00:31:47: I really hope that I can memorize all this stuff and then it's funny and that people like me and it's just this curse of like.

00:31:53: oh I have chosen this career of you know I've chosen the career path of making Like making a career out of hoping people like me and that's really the dumbest thing I could have ever done.

00:32:11: It sucks.

00:32:12: It sucks to make a career out of hoping people like you.

00:32:17: Don't do it, kids.

00:32:18: Don't do drugs and don't make a career out of hoping people like you.

00:32:24: It's so tough.

00:32:24: It's so cruel.

00:32:26: It's so cruel.

00:32:28: But at the end of the day, I think they overall had a nice time here and it was nice to see Oktoberfest.

00:32:36: I know that there was some drama.

00:32:38: There was like a... Bomb threat and like this I think did a car explode or something.

00:32:43: I think I like I think a house burned down.

00:32:45: That's so crazy to me.

00:32:47: and Let me see here.

00:32:52: and then oh, yeah, and then last weekend Last weekend was nice because I did a little bit of traveling getting out of Munich and just, you know, seeing some different people, getting my mind off of things a bit, you know, just focusing like, you know, taking an hour here or there to just run my show, get the vibe, you know, get the feeling for it, make the corrections that I thought could be, make things better, you know.

00:33:20: And yeah, so we, it's a crazy time.

00:33:25: I'm very I'm looking forward very much to it sounds awful But like I'm really looking forward to when this tour is over because I think the whole thing with the book and the parents in the Oktoberfest and the and the tour it's just.

00:33:36: it's been a lot on me and I also have not had the opportunity to leave home very often Which I think is extraordinarily important.

00:33:45: You you can't you should not stay home so much.

00:33:49: I'm realizing I'm home too much Whenever.

00:33:53: I just have even like a brief opportunity to just drive into the main part of Munich.

00:34:01: you know, either on the train or, you know, in a car and just park it somewhere and just walk around, see people, see the town, get a vibe for like what's going on, go get a coffee from some place, get a pastry, you know, just listen to the sounds, see an ambulance drive by, you know, see a flower shop, you know, look at some stuff like window shop, it just gives you like a bit more of a... In a sense, it's like meditative.

00:34:30: It's kind of like okay, so because I think that I think that to be true because when you're home too much Your world kind of becomes this very small box if that makes sense and it uh It's not good for you.

00:34:47: I think I've been home too much too.

00:34:48: Yeah, well It doesn't help that the weather had been so extremely cold and rainy and cold and rainy and cold and rainy.

00:34:56: but you know now it's getting better and the the leaves are turning orange and red is turning is turning out to be a very beautiful fall here in Munich.

00:35:08: so maybe I should just get out more and I hope I did.

00:35:11: I really didn't intend on this being like a depressive sounding recording.

00:35:15: I just basically like got into my head too much.

00:35:17: but I wanted to say That I'm so grateful that my parents made the effort.

00:35:21: I'm always grateful when they make the effort to come here and be a part of my life because that means a lot to me and my brother has made you know Statements about coming next year and that that would be just.

00:35:32: that would just be the most beautiful thing ever.

00:35:35: So with all of that in mind sorry for the full-on ramble here, and I'm sorry if it was a little bit too.

00:35:42: I'm not negative, but it's just a bit too serious.

00:35:44: But you know, that's what this podcast is for.

00:35:46: Just being earnest and on the table and true to heart.

00:35:49: But I'm so grateful my parents were here.

00:35:51: I love my parents.

00:35:53: I love you, mom.

00:35:54: I know you're listening.

00:35:57: And I'm very excited for this tour.

00:35:59: The tour is like, honestly, I think professionally speaking, nothing brings me more joy on this planet than being on a stage.

00:36:08: Music did that for me until it didn't and maybe it's going to come back and do that.

00:36:13: Comedy really does that for me.

00:36:15: Being able to look out into the crowd and get the instant gratification that someone understands me, that they understand my point, that they relate to it, they sympathize with it, it makes them laugh means so much because human connection and you know, relatability is just so important.

00:36:32: You have to You have to talk to people.

00:36:35: You have to... When jokes like have this... When jokes communicate something that someone relates to and goes like, oh my god, I do that.

00:36:45: Oh, that's so me.

00:36:46: There's no better feeling because they laugh so hard, they laugh from the heart.

00:36:50: And it just reminds you that like you're not alone and that everything is connected and we're all just trying to get through this really weird roller coaster of existence.

00:36:59: and it's really beautiful if you really, you know, if you think about it that way.

00:37:02: And I choose to because I think that's how it actually is.

00:37:05: So with that being said, I'm going to wrap it up here.

00:37:08: I know it's short, but whatever.

00:37:09: It's my podcast because I have to go have to go pick up a mattress from some eBay clientele.

00:37:16: whatever.

00:37:17: But look, I love you guys.

00:37:18: I really appreciate that you listened.

00:37:20: I hope it wasn't too depressing, but I didn't mean it to be, but I just got in my head, but it's all good.

00:37:44: It's English and German.
